Rep. Maloney & Local Leaders Call Out Lawler for Putting Tax Breaks for Billionaires Before Hudson Valley Families

Today, Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney joined leaders and residents from across the Hudson Valley to highlight Mike Lawler's hypocrisy and problematic record on taxes. Rep. Maloney was joined by current and former elected leaders, local realtors, and residents of the area who spoke about the negative impact Lawler's positions on taxes have had on the Hudson Valley. Rep. Maloney released the following statement after the press conference:

"Time and time again, Mike Lawler has put the MAGA agenda and corporate special interests ahead of the needs of our communities. In Albany, he fought for tax breaks for billionaires despite throwing Hudson Valley taxpayers under the bus by supporting Trump's tax scam, which is still crushing middle-class families with the SALT cap.

"Today, I was proud to join local leaders from right here in Orangetown -- who have spent years suffering from Lawler's damaging policies and tax hikes -- to highlight his repeated failures to deliver for local needs.

"I have a long record of fighting for Hudson Valley priorities. Lawler has a long record of fighting for whoever is writing him a check or offering a path to political power. That's the choice for voters on November 8th."
